Scope: This regulation establishes the requirements for PRODUCT SAFETY in ECUADOR. It includes the conditions for transport, storage and handling of HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCES . It is applicable to any production, marketing, transport, storage and handling of HAZARDOUS SUBTANCES in the country. This regulation has been developed following the guidelines of the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS), the United Nations Recommendations for the transport of hazardous substances, Model Regulations and the current National Regulations.
